Level Up Your Lexile Insights

When we introduced Lexile Insights for Teachers, we aimed to offer educators a more in-depth look into students' reading behavior and equip them with a comprehensive understanding of each reader’s profile. With this knowledge, teachers can tailor book recommendations, inform curriculum decisions, and supplement information for parent-teacher conferences. All the while, students can continue to read freely and develop a life-long love of reading.

Building upon the current feature, we are thrilled to introduce our enhancements to Lexile Insights. Educators will now have access to even more data in their admin dashboard, classes page, and student reading logs, highlighting Lexile averages based on titles logged over the past 30 days. Furthermore, principals, media specialists, and other school leaders can leverage our new Lexile Insights page to explore data categorized by grade, class, or teacher and presented in engaging charts and tables. These improvements allow educators to quickly identify broader trends in independent reading habits, compare various data points school-wide, and determine strategies to support students and teachers. Additionally, this data remains unavailable to students so educators can continue nurturing a culture of free-choice reading.

Enhance School-Wide Collaborative Reading Efforts

Creating a vibrant reading culture throughout a school requires a united effort from the entire community. The valuable data provided by Lexile Insights can be a powerful tool to inform and align your staff. Teachers can harness this information to tailor book recommendations and curriculum decisions to match students' interests and abilities. Media specialists and librarians can utilize student reading data to shape library collections that cater to the preferences of their entire school. Principals can use this data to showcase the benefits of nurturing a culture of independent reading while evaluating student reading habits across different classrooms and grade levels. Lexile Insights provides a platform to inform all educators and promote collaboration in supporting independent reading.
